Scythian Boar’s Head Sword with Golden Scabbard from Velyka Bilozerka in Ukraine, 4th century B.C.

The sword was discovered in a burial mound near the village of Velyka Bilozerka, Zaporizhia Region, Ukraine. It dates to the last third of the 4th Century BC. With a projecting boar’s head, the gold scabbard also has images of a griffin and a lion attacking a deer as two leopards watch.

Luckily, the sword is still in Ukraine, but it will be on exhibition most likely only after the war.
