In the triangle on the sword’s handle, there is a representation of the god Pan playing on his syringa (Pan flute or Pan pipes) with two goats near him. The sword was found together with the Golden Pectoral in the dromos of the male burial by Borys Mozolevsky in 1971. The swords were sacred for the Scythians and often prayed to.
